American RSDHope announced a $7,500 contribution towards a groundbreaking project for the RSD community in September of 2006.

In what was just the first of many organizations to donate, the American RSDHope Board of Directors approved a donation of $7,500 in September 2006, to the RSD Aid & Awareness Organization to be used for their Documentary on RSD.

The RSD Documentary began filming down in Florida in September of 2006 and they have done interviews all across the United States with patients, loved ones, and medical professionals. They are finally nearing completion and hope to be finished as early as January or February of 2008.

The hope is for the documentary to eventually be shown at theatres throughout the United States, possibly Europe as well, and eventually end up being aired on one of the cable networks such as HBO or the Discovery Channel.

The Executive Director of RSD Aid & Awareness, Barry Adler, runs a media production company called Impactmedia. His resume is extensive and runs the gamut from producing movies and television shows to commercials and medical specials. He also happens to be the loved one of an RSD patient, his wife.

We hope other RSD organizations, groups, associations, as well as Pain organizations and Foundations across the country will match our contribution! Working together we can make this documentary happen!
